Somerset Cream Teas
We offer all our guests the opportunity to place an order for cream teas at the time of booking their accommodation or upon arrival, with a couple of hours notice. This enables us to ensure that the scones, which are baked in our own kitchen, are as fresh as possible, and probably still warm from the oven. This is one of the unique experiences of Somerset and the West Country.
The tea and coffee used for the cream teas is the same as that used in the guest house and is provided by D.J. Miles & Co of Porlock in Somerset. Established in 1888 they produce the best blends to suit the local water resulting in an exquisite and refreshing cup of tea or coffee. Why not visit their Factory Shop at Porlock whilst in the area. We source our clotted cream from local suppliers and only use West Country milk.

Places to Eat
50 metres east is Thomas's Restaurant which serves gourmet quisine and on Fridays offers all main courses at £12.95. Ammonite guests are offered a 10% discount on the cost of their meal. It is recommended in Joahasen's Guide and holds the AA Rosette for 'Excellent local restaurant'.
Opposite Thomas's is Chan's, one of two excellent Chinese restaurants. 400 metres east is the excellent 'Ghandi' which on Sundays runs an all day buffet at £6.95. Opposite is a 'value for money' Wetherspoons pub/restaurant and nearby a small contemporary restaurant called 'The Vineyard'. Within a short drive are some excellent country pubs including 'The Cotley Inn' and 'The Windwhistle Inn' to name just two.
